Biography

Molly stopped moving in the womb and was born 5 weeks early by emergency c-section. She was a very floppy baby and was unable to suck or swallow, so was fed by a tube down her nose into her stomach.she remained in hospital for the first three months whilst a barrage of tests were carried out on her. She has never swallowed and at two had a gastrostomy button in her stomach so she is fed directly via this. She has had over 65 hospital admissions for pneumonia and 12 admissions to ICU all on life support.

Molly is a fighter and learnt to talk at the age of 7 and can now weight bare with support although as her muscles are so weak and floppy she is a full time wheelchair user. She has twice daily chest physio to help keep her lungs clear, but despite this is blossoming into a lovey happy fun loving young girl. She has just moved to a special needs secondary school and is enjoying the new found independence that brings! She is wilful, cheeky and incredibly nosey with the most amazing memory, and I am so proud of her everyday.
