Biography

Kayleigh was born full term and weighed a healthy 6lb 5oz. We took her home and the fun began, she was hungry constantly taking a bottle of 6oz every hour and a half. When she was 2 months old she only weighed 8lb 3oz but the doctors said she might be allergic to the milk formula. By 6 months old she was still the size of a 3 month old baby and got a bad chest infection. After a week in hospital she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Our world was shattered!

Since beginning diagnosed and on the right medication she's thrived like a normal baby and hit all her targets perfectly.

When Kayleigh turned 9 she went into hospital for 2 weeks of iv antibiotics and ever since she has been in hospital every 2/3 months for 2 weeks 150 miles away from home. She gets tired so easily nowadays but she has bought herself a German shepherd dog and he is keeping her going!
