Thank you

Just to say a really big warm thank you for Joseys quilt. She has not been feeling too well but she managed to do a smile upon opening her parcel. It arrived when it's very cold and snowy and it spent the first night on her bed all snuggly. It's beautiful and captures the great thing you all do.

Biography

Hello, Josey was diagnosed at 3 months old after suffering with seizures. It took 12 days to discover she had a brain disease. All this time we were accused of shaking her as the hospital could not find anything wrong until a CT scan. She was the 7th ever person in the UK to have this disease and was given 3-10 years to live.
Josey has had feeding difficulty since birth and epilepsy. She was in so much pain with reflux until she had a peg fitted so we could feed, give fluids and medication.
She cannot move any part of her body, sit or hold her head and has limited sight. She now suffers severe scoliosis and has breathing difficulties and requires oxygen regularly.
Despite all her issues she just loves being with her family, she is a very aware young lady and very switched on. The hospital and hospice work together to allow Josey to remain at home and we have been guided to carry out many medical interventions for her.
She loves music and met Katy Perry last year and went on stage to watch after hanging out in Katy's compound with her dancers. Josey had an amazing afternoon.
