Biography

Ruby was born at 34 weeks due to PPROM. She spent 9 days on the neonatal special care unit before being allowed home.
At 8 months Ruby started to have seizures. After 2 weeks in hospital and many many tests Ruby was diagnosed with epilepsy and has been medicated ever since.
She is our little hero.
Lots of ambulance rides, many HDU stays, test after test, she is amazing.
Ruby’s developmental delay began at the same time as her seizures but is becoming more and more obvious as she grows and is going into school.
Ruby has an early help form, we’re hoping our application for an EHCP is succsssful, and she is getting as much help as possible from her amazing nursery and SENCO team 😁
We have regular appointments with everyone who support Ruby, consultants, nurses, health visitors, SALT, biomechanics, ophthalmology, audiologists, etc.
Our next appointment is tomorow and we’re pretty sure he is going to arrange our next hospital stay for Ruby's latest EEG. We’re also looking at new referrals to OT and physio.
