Biography

Madeleine was a healthy, happy little girl. She learned to walk at 10 months old and would run around after her older brother. One day she just stopped walking. Doctors assumed she had broken her leg but all x-rays were clear and she was sent home. Two days later she was rushed back into hospital and diagnosed with leukaemia. Six weeks later she returned a very different child. Maddie was no longer interested in the doggies or birds, she would cry in pain 90% of the day and had no energy to walk, talk or smile. Slowly, slowly over the past 6 months she has taken all the chemotherapy thrown at her.

Maddie is responding well to treatment. She is our warrior, our hero and an incredibly resilient little girl.
