Biography

Phoenix was always on the move. At 2 days old he started rolling over. You don't expect not to find a newborn baby where you left them because they've moved.

As he grow older he was always on the go and because he couldn't focus or pay attention found it hard to join in activities and fell behind at school.

When he was diagnosed at 7 they asked if we wanted him medicated to which we said no. It was only on the car journey home when Phoenix was a captive audience, we could ask him how he felt. He said he wanted the medication because he wanted to be like everyone else. My heart broke at that moment.

He still struggles with balancing his medication. Taking enough so he can focus but not so much that it suppresses his appetite and means he doesn't grow. Which is something he'll always have to deal with
