Biography

Cara was born at 30 weeks due to a placenta abruption were I lost 6 pints of blood. We nearly didn't make it. She didn't get enough oxygen to the brain which caused her to have cerebral palsy, non verbal, dystonia and peg fed and a wheelchair user.

She is now 11. She has great understanding and is such a happy girl. We recently moved house this year to accommodate Cara's needs. She was so unwell in hospital from September 23 till January 24 but is all good now. She's the boss! I do admit this past 2 years have got a lot harder and I just seem to be fighting the system on behalf of Cara...

Cara has red curly hair, wears glasses and is very tall. She has her own wee personality. I understand her needs and wants from her vocalising and eye contact. She has changed me to be a better person and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you.
