Thank you

It really is beautiful. We are amazed that people put their own time and money into making things for children like Spencer.

Biography

Spencer was induced at 38.1 days gestation. He had high heart rate and seemed to be in distress through out labour. He was born blue, he wasn't breathing at all. Once they get him breathing they took him to scbu where he started having neonatal seizures. At a few hours old he was rushed to Addenbrooks NICU where he was loaded with anti seizure drugs and because he was still struggling to breath he was ventilated. Lots and lots of tests were done two of them being MRI scan and a few EEGs. These together showed that he had suffered brain damage in the last few weeks of pregnancy. They know this because the damage to his brain showed when he was 2 days old. Spencer is 100% tube fed. Spencer is such a happy little boy and (if you work hard enough!!) he will give the most beautiful smiles! We have been told he has been affected both physically and cognitively. Spencer is 7 months old and is already quite far behind but I think he has lots of potential!
