Thank you

Yves was soooooo happy to receive his Love Quilt. Thank you a million times over for helping my beautiful son sleep better and feel safe with his 'magical' superhero and Star Wars quilt. His Tourettes, anxiety, ADHD and sleep problems have been causing him a lot of distress recently and this couldn't have arrived at a better time. Love Yves' Mummy and Daddy x

Biography

Yves is a happy little 5 year old boy who likes making people smile and laugh. Like his Dad and big Sister, he also happens to have Tourettes Syndrome.

He was diagnosed at the age of 3 after we noticed that he was saying and doing things unintentionally. At first, although we knew the signs and what they indicated, we decided to ignore it in the hope that it'd pass. But sadly it didnt and once he started becomming distressed about it, we felt we had to act and subsequently sought a formal diagnosis.

His condition manifests itself through a variety of vocal and motor tics, notably sudden jerking movements, rotating his arms and legs, making random noises and ocassionlaly saying the odd word/expression out of turn. As is usually the case with TS, it's not just about the tics as there are a number of co-morbid conditions that are part of the package; in Yves' case he suffers with anxiety and attention deficit disorder.

Despite this, he manages to have a normal life and especially loves Star Wars, football, annoying his big brother and cuddling his mummy and daddy.
