I would like to take this opportunity to thank all you amazing ladies for Amelia's quilt which arrived yesterday, it is so beautiful and so much nicer than I expected. Amelia was so excited when she opened it as I kept it a secret from her and now has pride of place on her bed, thank you all again I have one very happy little girl x x x

Biography

Amelia was born 6 weeks early and spent 6 weeks in neonatal ward, she came home on oxygen and was on it 24/7 for a year. She still has it nightly but the doctors can't find out why.
She was diagnosed with hydrocephulas at 14 months and has had 8 operations on her brain. She currently has a vp shunt fitted. She has had many problems in past year with migraines and sickness episodes, but touch wood they have settled at the moment. She was also diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency in November 2012 after failing to grow. She had many genetic tests done. She is on daily injections. She also has sleep apnea and stridor breathing and has a sats monitor for when she is sleeping.

She has now been tested for precocious puberty and is showing signs of early hormone release so is being monitored closely for that and will have to start injections to stop this when needed and to top it all off she has shingles this week!
