Biography

Sam was diagnosed with HLHS at my 20 week scan. It is a life limiting condition because half his heart didnt form. He had his first major open heart surgery at 3 days old, his second at 5 months and a third at 2 and a half years. His next course of treatment would be to be added to the transplant list.

Sam is very small for his age being only the size of a 4 year old. He has undergone numerous procedures under general anaesthetic. Despite struggling to do as his peers would do his sense of humour and his smile has never faltered.
