Biography

We always noticed ben was a little different from our first boy, but wasn't very sure why.

In 2012 Ben witnessed his brother Dylan pass away and saw how much it devastated us.

A few months after he died Ben's behaviour became increasingly worse. The school put it down to grief at this point.

In 2013 Ben then witnessed his little brother have to be taken into Evelina Children's Hospital to have open heart surgery and me and his daddy were gone for a while. This put massive stress on ben.

From this point up to diagnosis we struggled and the school no one was sure what was happening to Ben. He became violent, aggressive, someone who we couldn't communicate well with. It came to the point Ben was not safe at school anymore and was only allowed in for a 2 hours a day. It broke my heart.

On Dylan's birthday, Ben had his tests done where they measured eye activity etc

It was then confirmed that Ben had autism ADHD and anxiety. All these years he had suffered and I had no idea. Then with the trauma of losing his brother and watching another become ill took its toll on him. Now we are waiting for his placement in a specialized school and I want to make him a special space in the house to hide when it gets too much for him.
