Biography

Caitlin was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect before birth. It was detected there was a problem at my 20 week antenatal scan.

Once she was born they were able to confirm the full diagnosis. Caitlin has had 2 open heart surgeries so far and there is one more scheduled open heart surgery. She has encountered other surgeries due to complications post surgery. Her next open heart surgery should be before she starts school. There is no fix for her. It is all palliative care.
