Biography

Shane was well when born. At the age of 3 he developed epilepsy so started medication. Age 6 he had been sick for a week and suffering headaches and I demanded tests etc. and that's when it began. He had GBM4, he did really well through all treatment and then 2 years later it appeared again and we were told no more could be done. I demanded chemo to start and the tumour went, 2 years on again it appeared on the opposite side of his brain so treatment again and doing ok. In 2017 he had bruises on his leg, I knew something wasn't right so had a blood test which revealed his counts were rubbish. He had very intense chemo in September and in February 2018 he had a bone marrow transplant. He is currently still recovering, he's had a long tough life but still smiles. This quilt will put a massive smile on his face.
