Biography

Leo was diagnosed with autism at 18 months old! He had developed slowly up until this age then suddenly overnight lost the small amount of speech he had and developed a massive squint in his eye! He was rushed for emergency MRI for suspected brain injury! This came back thankfully clear! He then had months of investigations and tests before autism was diagnosed! Just after this Leo developed epilepsy, which until recently has been hard to control!
Leo has missed lots of school days due to appointments for speech therapy and orthotics as he walks on his toes. Due to his hypermobility he finds it difficult to use his fingers!
As he's grown up Leo has found social situations like school very hard, he doesn’t make friends and has suffered from depression on numerous occasions! He has been the subject of severe bullying since starting high school! Although he is learning to deal with his condition he's also becoming aware of how different he is to others!
Having epilepsy and an allergy to water on top of this has just added to his disability!
He is an extremely happy boy who has a lot to deal with!
He also has a phobia about anything with eyes other than people
