Biography

Connie was born at 26 weeks gestation in 2011 weighing just 1lb 14oz. Her first two days were stable. But on 25th Dec (yes, Christmas day) she had a massive deterioration which included full resuscitation. We were very lucky to get her back but as a result she had suffered a serious brain bleed. This bleed has left her with multiple life-long disabilities.

As a baby she struggled to feed, didn't meet her milestones and we feared for her future. She spent months in hospital with several life threatening illnesses. However, as time went on she proved to us just how much of her fighter she was. She is now 9 years old and is an absolute joy to everyone who meets her. She learned to sit up and bum shuffle. She loves to walk using her walker. She has recently started using a communication device which has given her a voice. She has a brilliant sense of humour and despite her struggles, always has as smile on her face.
