Biography

Leyton was diagnosed with SMA with genetic testing from his mum and his dad. The main signs were he wasn't reaching the usual milestones like crawling, standing and taking steps. You could see the determination in his face wanting to do these things, but his body just wouldn't let him.

Leyton is now 8 years old. He has had 100s of hospital appointments and admissions with his weakened immune system and even started a trial medication that we travel all the way to Paris to take part in. He's one of the most determined little boys we know. His courage to power through this terminal condition amazes everyone around him and it's definitely made him who he is today.
