Biography

I fostered and then adopted Leah. Leah came to me at 6 months old after suffering a respiratory arrests at 4 months through suspicious circumstances which left her with massive brain injury she is doubly incontinent uses a wheelchair she has a mental age of 4 months which has not changed in the 7 yrs plus I have had her she has no swallow reflex so she had nasal tube then anew months later a peg put in she has regular physio because she is a very stiff girl she suffered with chronic secretions for a couple of yrs before having to have a emergency traeostomy 16 months ago she a lotta in place she requires lots of suctioning and has a humidifier, sats monitor oxygen at home she has special bed and requires regular nebs. When I first got Leah I was told she only had 6 months to live and that she could deteriorated at any time she has progressively gt worse over this last couple of months she is under palliative care at a hospice.


Back to home
