Biography

Teddie was a perfect baby when he was born. Then at 9 days old he started to have seizures and we went into our local hospital for 3 weeks. He was very poorly having over 100 seizures a day. We were transferred to St George's hospital in London for 4 months.

They discovered Teddie had a condition called polymicrogyria. The left side of his brain was affected and that's where the seizures were coming from. Teddie was rushed to intensive care during our time in St George's and we were told twice to say our goodbyes.

At 6 months Teddie went into Great Ormond Street hospital for a 10 hour brain operation called a hemispherectomy. They disconnected the left side of his brain.

This has made Teddie weaker on his right side and he has lost his right peripheral vision and is on the blind register as visually impaired. He has a long way to go but he is our super Ted.
