Biography

Jackson was born at 38 weeks and quickly taken to NICU with breathing and bowel problems. We were transferred to a more specialist hospital and got home at a week old. We started to realise something wasn’t right with how floppy Jackson was, his feeding difficulties and the delays in his development. At 9 months he was urgently referred to neurology and we have been undergoing testing ever since through neurology and genetics to find out what is causing Jackson’s disabilities. He has complex physical and learning disabilities and is fed via tube. He has had multiple procedures and surgeries to try and help his symptoms and find an encompassing diagnosis. For now he is a SWAN, syndrome without a name.
