Biography

Fletcha was born healthy, weighing 7lb 8oz. He met all of his milestones on time. When he 2 years old I had his sister and thought she was too floppy. My health visitor said it was normal and asked me why I didn't see the same in Fletcha. I explained he was quite stiff as a baby.

She watched him play a few times and said he would be referred to a paediatrician due to showing signs of autism. After seeing the paediatrician, she explained that he was showing signs of either muscular dystrophy or cerebral palsy.

A week after a blood test we found out he had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Since then he has broken the same leg twice, once at 5 years old and again at 8 years. He has had Achilles lengthening twice, hamstring lengthening once which lead to him coming off his feet at 8 years old. He had scoliosis surgery in April 2022, when he went from a 90° curve to almost straight and grew 7cm. He overcomes every obstacle that gets thrown his way. He's a warrior.
