Thank you so much for Braedans beautiful quilt, I cannot believe that each section is personalised and made by people all over the country.

I have attached a photo of the quilt which is on Braedan's bed.

Thank you so much we are so very pleased with it and thank you to all the lovely people that helped make it.

Biography

Braedan was born at 42 weeks by C section and after 2 weeks of losing weight he was admitted to hospital with a suction problem. They found that the tissue at the top and back of his throat had not formed correctly. We were sent hope with instructions & bottles from the cleft team and our new feeding regime started. Within 2 days he was blue lighted to hospital where they suggested he had bad reflux.

In February 2009 he had a cleft palate repair and bloods were taken for research purposes and the additional chromosome was found. As time has gone on, he didn’t meet his milestones, and when he was 7 he was diagnosed with autism and then at 12 epilepsy. He spends a lot of time in and out of hospital with his seizures currently, his seizures have been confirmed as LGS type.

On a day to day basis Braedan has at least 2-3 full seizures a day. He loves school and the structure it brings, but he cannot clearly communicate what he would like.

His smiles and cuddles make us realise that he is happy and loved.
