Biography

Alesha was born with CHARGE syndrome. 48hrs after birth she had her 1st open heart surgery. Then another at 3 months old. She had a tracheostomy fitted at about 3 months old and a PEG. She is nil by mouth, non-verbal and a BSL user. She has a cochlear implant and is totally deaf. She was born with colobomas so is blind in one eye. Her sister also was born with CHARGE syndrome.

Alesha absolutely loves school when she can attend due to staff. She loves Dora the explorer.

Alesha now has complete heart blockage and so has a pacemaker.
