I just wanted to take a moment to say a truly heartfelt thank you for the beautiful duvet throw you created for Mustafa

It is honestly difficult to put into words just how much it means to him, and to all of us. From the moment he saw it, with the Mickey Mouse and the horse (his absolute favourites), his face completely lit up. Every single detail you included is so incredibly thoughtful. From the horse to the characters, you can truly see the care, love and attention that has gone into every part of the quilt.

When I first saw it, I actually teared up. I couldn’t believe that someone could create something so beautiful and so personal for him.

Mustafa absolutely adores it. He sleeps with it every single night and won’t let it out of his sight. The first thing he does when he wakes up is bring it downstairs with him, and it even comes along for car journeys. It’s the Easter holidays at the moment, but I genuinely think if he had school, he’d be trying to take it there too, Mustafa is completely besotted with it.

Thank you again for your kindness, care, and the time you put into creating something so meaningful. What you do truly makes a difference.

Biography

Mustafa was first noticed at his private nursery, where his teacher observed that he wasn’t interacting with other children. Instead, he would play alone, spend long periods watching the lights, and often sit in corners or squeeze into tight spaces. The nursery suggested contacting the health visitor. The early years team then advised me to ask the GP for a referral to a paediatrician at the Development Centre.

After six visits, including two full days of assessment with six other children, Mustafa was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. He has since been attending a special school. Later, at the age of 7, Mustafa also received a diagnosis of ADHD.
