Biography

I noticed Hector was different when he was 6 months old. He used to bang his head in his car seat and his highchair. He also started stimming (happy hands) at that age.

Hector was diagnosed with Autism when he was two years old. He used to hit and bite when getting frustrated, he climbs on furniture and is an escape artist. We can't go to the supermarket as Hector doesn't like smells of meat so we've really become reclusive.

Hector is currently out of education and has been since leaving nursery over two years ago (we've yet to find a specialist school for him). Hector has PICA; he will eat foreign objects. This used to be really bad when he was younger, and although he still does it at 6 years old, it's not as bad. He is a whirlwind always on the go and doesn't shut down, he is a wind turbine loving kid.
