BiographyReggie was born in 2015, first time mum, very scared. But knowing I had Reggie, my best pal, filled me with love!
Growing up Reggie was a very temperamental little guy. He'd throw huge tantrums and chuck things around. He loved to line things up but I didn't take any notice.
Until he hit 5 and he started school (reception). He'd have huge breakdowns before and after. But perfect at school!! The ideal child. Year 1. We had a school nurse help us. Again he's fine at school. No worries! But year 2 we noticed he struggled in social situations, no eye contact. Thankfully his teacher helped and we started the process....2 long years.
We then had an amazing family support worker who helped us learn how to manage Reggie. At this time we were broken, we couldn't go out, his siblings were struggling.
After 1 year with our support worker we had enough confidence to do it alone.
We're now over 1 year into Reggie's diagnosis and we've found our rhythm.
