Biography

Lily was born in 2022 at 36 weeks gestation due to IUGR weighing only 4lbs with no physical complications due to this. Lily had always been on the later side of development but has always met her milestones as a baby. At around 6 months old I noticed that she was a bit different to other babies her age but she continued to thrive and grow. Fast forward to 18 months old I asked a health visitor if they could come and see her as I suspected that she may have autism, I was told that this wasn’t the case.

Lily started school in 2025 and not long after the nursery started to see the same issues that we had been seeing at home. She has a lot of sensory issues as well as struggling with social, emotional and communication. Lily is very chatty at home however at nursery becomes very quiet and won’t ask for help or tell teachers what she wants or needs, which causes her to become distressed.

Lily is very smart, loves reading books to us, and has a fascination with the planets and dwarf planets in our solar system.

We are now in the process of getting her a EHCP and a diagnosis.
