Biography

Patrick was fine at birth but started having seizures at 10 weeks old. These escalated very quickly into epileptic status (continuous seizure) and this continued for 10 days. During this time he was induced into a coma and we very nearly lost him. Patrick survived this but went on to have severe epilepsy, at worst up to 200+ seizures a day. He suffered brain damage probably caused by his epileptic status and now has quad cerebral palsy and very limited functional movement.

Patrick seems fully aware of his surroundings and is a very happy little boy and has just started school. His epilepsy is currently under control but as we don't know the underlying cause of his condition his future is guarded.
