We cannot thank everyone who contributed enough. She is currently in hospital again, and her face lit up when we gave it to her :) Promptly took this picture and then she went to show all the nurses.

Biography

At 20 week scan an echogenic bowel was detected, after a CVS ruled out a number of other problems, a 19% of her having Cystic Fibrosis, as maternal gene could not be detected. As the pregnancy progressed the % increased. Induced 2 weeks early weighing in at 5lb. Had an op for meconium ileus at 12 hours old, leading to diagnosis.

She suffers with chronic chest infections and gets admitted at least twice a year. Recently had an emergency bronchoscopy and now talks of a port being fitted .....

She copes with it all very well. Taking numerous tablets everyday, doing physio and now having a nebuliser.
