Biography

Paige was born with a brain abnormality, at 2 weeks old she had meningitis. She was then diagnosed as profoundly deaf. After around 6 weeks at hospital she went home but was soon back in . Epilepsy was soon diagnosed. Paige spent 5 months in hospital trying to get her epilepsy under control , she was having over 100 fits a day. She had cochlear implants fitted at 8 months. She was then diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She was rushed to hospital last September when she became ill. She needed CPR numerous times until they stabilised her and transferred her to rvi Newcastle picu. She had pneumonia again. Doctors have now said she doesn't have long left and we were advised to take her home and make happy memories as she doesn't have long left. She has been home since march and her airways have collapsed. She has to wear a collar to keep the airways open . She is on oxygen every night and nebulisers during the day as well as a huge cocktail of drugs.
