everyone that worked on it....Joe loves it and called it his magic quilt. Unfortunately he had quiet a tough paediatrician appointment today ( prodded and poked) Thank you all again, his magic quilt is something he will treasure.

Biography

At 21 weeks into my pregnancy with Joe, I myself was diagnosed with CHD and needed Open heart surgery for MAVR. At 22 weeks gestation we found out that our baby had CHD's too, and without open heart surgery soon after birth, his CHD's were incompatible with life. Joe had to be born by emergency c section. And had his first procedure a balloon steptostomy at 55 minutes old. He had his second heart surgery stent, and arterial switch at 5 days old. Joe will require further surgeries throughout life. He I will require surgery to replace two of his heart valves and is monitored closely. Joe was also diagnosed with severe Autism at 3 years of age, along with his CHD's it has been quiet a journey. Joe started a specialist school in September 2015 a milestone we would have never thought possible.
