Biography

Nathan was born via section at 35 weeks. One of set of twin boys, both were healthy if a little small. In February 2014 Nathan became unwell with what we thought was a cold that he couldn’t shift. Gradually his symptoms got worse and he stopped feeding or moving around. On the 3rd visit to hospital Nathan was rushed to intensive care as it was found he had renal failure and required urgent filtration.

He was in intensive care for 5 days until he was stable enough to move to a specialist children’s hospital. Here we were told of his diagnosis and the tough journey he was going to have. For Nathan needed a liver and kidney transplant to survive the condition. He has been on an intensive dialysis regime since 2014.

Nathan received a liver transplant in March 2018 and it was almost the end of his journey but he battled through and is now thriving. Still undergoing haemodialysis at home 6 nights a week. We are hoping he will receive a kidney transplant in the future and improve his life massively.
