Biography

Jack was diagnosed in utero when I was 16 weeks pregnant. I had a cvs test due to him having a larger than normal amount of fluid in the back of his neck. His condition is very rare with less than 25 children worldwide with it and no other child with the exact same pieces duplicated.

He was born via elected c-section and floppy. He struggled with feeding and a bowel obstruction from birth with failure to thrive, poor vision and low muscle tone. He was fed via nasal gastric tube from birth moving onto gastrostomy. He has an unsafe swallow, severe global development delay and is non-verbal. He is 6.5 years and still developmentally around 15 months.

Despite his difficulties and difficult start in life he is the happiest little boy you could ever meet.
