Biography

Liberty was born a very happy but quiet baby, rarely cried and slept lots. She was diagnosed at her 9 month check with gobal development delay. After a series of passing out she was later diagnosed with anoxic reflex syncope. Liberty started nursery with no speech and unable to walk. She moved onto primary school needing lots of assistance and not really coping in her class. She moved into a special school and has loved school since her first day there, learning at her pace.

Last year we were aware she was leaning a lot. After x-rays and tests, she was diagnosed with severe curves and needed two urgent scoliosis surgeries. Within 10 months we were in hospital and she was the most brave girl ever, taking it in her stride and doing everything she needed to.

She was very happy to get home to her three dogs who are her best friends. She's now doing amazingly, 9 cms taller, 4.5 stone lighter and says "I not wonky no more". It's a long recovery but she's getting there.

We are so so proud of our amazing special girl.
