Biography

Ariella was born at 31 weeks and given a 5% survival chance. She had to have surgery at 2 hours old and was given a tracheostomy which saved her life. She also had another surgery at 11 days old to repair her cdh. She then spent 11 months in hospital and was diagnosed with Nager syndrome at a year old.

Three years on a ventilator 24/7 and she still has her tracheostomy and feeding tube. Ariella has recently been given an autism diagnosis too.

She is the happiest girl you will ever meet for someone who is in and out of hospital. She is extremely chest vulnerable which is why we wanted to apply for a special quilt so she could take it in during her stays. She is non-verbal but makes her presence known everywhere she goes.
