Cory is 10 months old and has the same genetic condition as his older sister Mia. He was diagnosed from 2 weeks and had been having suspected seizures since birth. Cory was born by emergency C-section as he weighed a whopping 10lb 1oz at birth!! There was no need for scubu or any intervention, his weight, length and head circumference were all perfect!!
He too, like his sister, is completely non-verbal, cannot sit, roll, crawl, stand, walk or bear weight through his arms or legs. He eats 100% orally. He has microcephaly, CVI registered blind, fluctuating muscle tone, severe global developmental delay and severe hard to control epilepsy. He has break through seizures daily and at the mintue is requiring rescue meds 3 to 4 times a week!! Currently changing over to another medication.
He is a happy little soul and again like his sister has a fantastic smile and chuckle, and his babbles and coos are simply amazing. Cory copes brilliantly on a daily basis and rarely grumbles. He is milk/dairy intolerant but loves his food all the same and at only 10 months weighs a huge 12.6kgs!! His nickname is "the dude" and a dude he is - he is a cheeky little character!!
