Biography

Millie was born profoundly deaf. We found out the day she was born due to an in-depth hearing test due to her brother also being profoundly deaf.

Millie had an operation 2 weeks before she turned 1 to have cochlear implants implanted. This surgery was 6 hours long. 3 weeks after this operation Millie was “switched on” and she is now able to hear while her implants are connected.

Millie is a happy girl and has so much personality! She doesn’t let her deafness stop her!
