Biography

Keeley was a poorly child from birth although she wasn't diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis until she was six months old. Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening illness that affects Keeley's lungs and digestive system. Keeley has undergone numerous hospital stays which are 2 weeks stays every time. She has had two operations one to fit a peg so she can be fed overnight and they other was for a portacath for easy access for IVs.

Over the past few years Keeley's lung function has decreased from 97% to 78%. Repeated growths of aspergillus has permanently damaged her left lingula lobe on her left lung which at the moment the team are considering removing. CF has caused Keeley to have a lot of anxiety issues so she is seen by a psychologist on a weekly basis.

We are not sure what tomorrow or next week or the years to come have in store, but one thing I know our daughter is a fighter and she will fight this illness all the way until a cure is found.
