BiographyEllie was born at 32.6 weeks by emergency section due to being severly anaemic suffering from haemolytic disease.
At 2 days old Ellie arrested and had to be resuscitated. She suffered 2 grade 3 bleeds on either side of her brain after this. She spent 3 months in neonatal unit with many ups and downs, a perforated bowel, meningitis and hydrocephalus. At 5 months old Ellie had a shunt inserted to control this fluid and she will be reliant on this for the rest of her life.
Ellie is almost 5 now and has cerebral palsy which affects all 4 of her limbs and poor head control. she is severely sight impaired and in August 2020 she was diagnosed with epilepsy after a few seizures and an EEG starting in April 2020.
