Biography

Max was born with hypotonia and feeding difficulties. He was very delayed with all his developmental milestones and didn't walk until he was three years old. His speech and learning are very delayed and Max's speech took a longtime to develop. Alongside his communication difficulties Max has difficulties with sensory integration meaning that the world can often be a very frightening and frustrating place for Max. At the age of seven Max was found to have a very rare chromosome disorder meaning he has over 100 genes missing. There are only a handful of children in the world known to have the same disorder From an early age Max has loved animals in particular horses . His love of animals has helped Max find his place in the world. When Max is with animals he is at peace with the world and himself. Max has recently been diagnosed with autism and now attends a fantastic special school where he is finally learning to trust and build relationships with other children.
