Biography

Ivy is a 10 year old young carer for her 3 older sisters who have an extremely rare medical condition with only 7 known cases worldwide. Her daily life consists of helping with all the needs of her sisters. She helps with bathing, getting medication ready, readying feeding pump, helping change bedsheets, as well as chores around the home. She also has issues of her own for which she is receiving counselling

Ivy often has to miss out on activities she would like to take part in, such as visits to the park and play dates with friends due to her sisters` needs. As down time, she attends karate and has won 2 international bronze medals and one bronze national medal, something we are extremely proud of.
